Fiber

Small Scale Sustainable Fiber

Sam has always been fascinated by fibers. There is a certain energy to natural fibers that she is attracted to, whether it is clothing, a home good, or something else. We are thrilled to offer local fiber, spring lambs, and wool giving rabbits to our community of fiber loving friends!

Our Flock

We currently raise a fiber flock of sheep as well as angora rabbits alongside our field grown goods.

Our sheep are raised on hay and forage in an agroforestry setting, sheared once each spring for their comfort and our fiber endeavors. Our flock originated as all jacobs sheep; an a threatened heritage breed on the Livestock Conservancy list, and a breed that we are quite passionate about! Our flock has since expanded to include both Finn and Icelandic sheep.

The sheep play an important role in our regenerative practices and our efforts in working toward a closed loop system.

You can find our flocks fiber products in our online store, as well as at our market booth!

Our Rabbits

We raise english and satin angora rabbits for fiber. We groom them weekly and harvest their fiber quarterly throughout the year. Their fiber is the most lush, buttery soft fiber and so fun to work with!

We raise our rabbits on an organic diet with opportunities to roam and forage through the use of rabbit tractors as weather allows. We ensure they receive adequate enrichment, top quality care, and of course treats!

We breed rabbits throughout the year with a focus on fiber.
